Brewing in Brentwood, Essex, was restarted in 2006 when the Brentwood Brewing Company was set up by Roland Kannor & Dave Holmes. The town has a long history of brewing and malting reaching back to around 1700. We would like to think we continue that tradition with good quality real ales made using time honoured methods but with modern equipment and up to date control.

Roland and Dave were joined in 2008 by another local businessman, Jason Jopson. Jason helped finance a new 20BBL brewery which is use today. We are now at our third site at Calcott Hall Farm. Dave Holmes has retired to Spain and Ethan Kannor has taken over as head brewer from Sophie De Ronde who was with us for 7 years.
