12oz bottle. Hazy golden orange color. Light floral hop aroma. Light, earthy hoppiness. Medium bodied, relatively smooth finish. Crisp initial mouthfeel, with enough hops to keep it interesting, but there is a certain lack of depth. OK.

12 ounce bottle from Downtown Wine & Gourmet in Harrisonburg, VA. Pours a dark orange color with lots of carbonation. A medium white head with moderate retention and good lacing. Good but generic citrus hop aroma. Bitter hop taste with some citrus notes and a little bit of maltiness. Medium bodied.

12 ounce bottle from Corks & Kegs in Richmond. Pours a pretty straightforward brown color with a bit of a haze. One finger head with average retention and poor lacing. Slightly hazy ruby & copper tinted amber coloured body with a very thin off-white head. Aroma of roasted malt, nuts, caramel, anise, cloves, yeast and a bit of sweet fruits - pretty nice for the style, actually! Medium-body; Soda sweetness with a chewy maltiness coupled with a bitter nut flavour. Aftertaste shows alcohol, metallic bitterness and a tiny twang of sweetness, but not much. Overall, the look and smell are great, it’s just the taste that disappoints. I probably wouldn’t recommend this, but it isn’t an absolutely horrible beer by any means. I sampled this twelve ounce bottle purchased from Total Wine in Durham, North Carolina on 31-August-2008, sampled a day later at home in Washington.

An extra from ucusty. Sent in a picture to be uploaded. This beer is not bad at all. Pours with a large, rocky, off-white head covering a murky brown body. Aroma of toasted malts, nuts, some alcohol and nail polish. Taste is a bit bland, with some nuts, some nail polish, and bitterness from burn malts. A bit fizzy. Finish is bit astringent, but not too unplesant for a session.

Bottle. Sour milk and brown sugar aroma. Cloudy orange-brown with small head. Very light brown sugar malt flavor with a hint of bitterness to finish - a bit like watered down tonic water. Way too weak.

Bottle. Peach malt and light hops aroma. Orange-tan color with small head. Slightly sweet orange/grapefruit fading into a fairly strong pine/grapefruit hops finish. Light carbonation - on the hoppier side for APAs. Nice, pleasant APA.
