Can. StarmoreBoss, Sheffield. Took a punt on this, not knowing how fresh it might be. No BB date on the can, either. Anyhow, itβs pale, copper coloured, with a light haze. Thin, lasting, sticky, white head. Looks ace. Aroma is rich, gluey, resinous, overripe mandarin hop, with a bread and honey, malty backbone. Taste is fruity sweet, turning full, rich, chewy bitter. More of the chewiness on the palate. Finishes long, resinous bitter.

Tap at Capitol Beer in Sacramento, CA. Pours hazy gold with a whitish head. Aroma seems Mosaic. Med body or nearly. Flavor is fruity, hoppy, very mildly bready. Finishes hoppy/sweet (best I can do with that), with some mild bitter. It is very pleasing.

Can. Golden beer with a light head and a bubbly body. The aroma is dry with a hint of fruitiness, and the flavour is very dry and hopped with some mellow yeastiness. Overall a nice well hopped Pilsner style beer. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

16 fl oz can from the Beers of Europe. Pours clear golden, thin white head. Aromas are oily, resinous hops, marmalade. Taste is bitter, piney, resin. Oily texture, bitter finish, tad sticky. Nice though.

16 flipping ounce can from Beers of Europe. Pours clear gold, thick white head. Aromas of lemon and lime, light malt. Taste is more lemon and lime, not much rye character, or lager character for that matter. Nice beer though!

Can from Corti Brothers. Pours clear copper with an off-white head. Aroma of mixed fruits with rye notes. Med + body. Flavor is rye forward, with mixed fruits. The rye is quite strong and the fruit is difficult to discern as to detail. Itβs hoppy, and very bitter. "West Coast Belgian" :)

Can from Beers of Europe. Pours pale amber gold, thick white head. Aromas of rye spice and cooked grapefruit - could be fresher I guess - light Belgian esteriness. Taste is light malt, caramel, some grapefruit, tropical fruit, but dominated by maltiness. Still, a very nice beer. Who wouldβve thought. Belgian yeast... US hops... rye malt... what it really needs is some oats for the body, then you might be on to a winner!

Can at home. It pour slightly hazy gold with a small white head. The nose is bread, muffin, cereal, toasty grain, spice and something akin to Appletizer. The taste crisp, pretty, bitter, peppery spice grapefruit rind, zesty action, doughy malts, cereal and straw with a dry, spicy finish. Medium body and fine, prickly carbonation. Pretty interesting and drinkable stuff.

Tap at Capitol Beer in Sacramento, CA. Pours dark brn/blk with a dark tan head; orange glints. Aroma is SOURISH!? Acetone? Solvent? Med + body - smooth; oily. Flavor seems a bit sour, somewhat smoky, hints of treacle, oaky and it does seem "blended" scotch. Finishing mixed smoky, mildly funky, sour. It grew on me.
