Smells like pines, freshly cut pine cones. Looks thick and viscous. Rather rude on the taste buds as with all good IPA. It looks syrupy and it is, yes, sticky shit on the taste buds too. . Wew. big impact but hides the alky fairly well, would never know this is almost 8%, did I say wew? If you like IPA ignore my numbers, this BS is terribly on style and will kick you in the jaw, wew. This style will ever be difficult to figger out.

Sample at The Ohio Taproom. Pours a slightly cloudy orange color with a thin ivory white head that recedes quickly to a wispy film. Short strings of lacing. Aroma of fruit, yeast and malt. Medium to full syrupy body with flavors of caramel malt, sweet fruit and a touch of spice and candi sugar. The finish is borderline cloyingly sweet with a lingering fruity aftertaste. Slightly above average overall.

Sample at Nano Brew Cleveland for the CBW Collaboration Kickoff on 10/18/2013. Dark brownish-black pour with a thin beige head that dissipates quickly to an outer ring. Spotty lacing on the glass. Aroma of coffee and smoked malt. Light to medium body with flavors of roasted malt, charred bacon and coffee. The finish is smoky with a coffee aftertaste. Decent, if a little disjointed overall.

Nice darker pour. Mild aroma of malted milk. Ewey malty stronger initial flavors. Creamy but a little medicinal, does not hide alky well. Decent smooth sizzle with perhaps a tad our tartness but not enough to overcome the flavor. I’m getting used to the lass. Not as refined as some in this style like East End Session #01 - Mild Scottish Ale/80 Shilling or Weasel Boy Plaid Ferret Scottish Ale

I like these bommers of lager head. Nice big viscous darker beer with a smooth slightly sweet aroma. Nice lacing too. Sweet almost cloying stronger flavors. Sweeter somewhat beefy flavors down the back of my tongue. Yes, seems a little thick on the tongue, she gots body. Festy fer sure.
