330 ml bottle, from Joker Madlatuå, also a bottle as a gift from yngwie. ABV is 4.5%. Amber to copper color, moderate head, slightly off-white. The aroma has sugary (candy, caramel) and grassy notes, not particularly good. The flavour is moderately sweet with notes of caramel, drinkable when cold, but won’t be my choice for the Yuletide.

Bottle. It ain’t looking bad in the glass, although the dark off-white to beige head is small and soon diminished into a thin layer of dense bubbles. The body is sparkling and glowing with an amber color. It’s quite grainy on the nose, with caramel, hops and a slightly disturbing mix of burnt plastic and dms. A hint of hops too. It’s quite thin on the body, despite the marketing guys at the brewery think otherwise, carbonated in that intense way most Norwegian pilsner-styles are carbonated. That’s a good thing when it comes to cleaning the palate when eating some fat Christmas food, but if it’sdrank just to drink it’s unpleasant. There’s caramel and grains in the flavor, some bitterness shining through, but very subdued. Cloying in the end, with caramel malty sweetness. Not really a bad beer when cold, but I didn’t dare wait for it to get luke warm. 101108
