Can. Even though they brag about Saaz hop and brew one of the best Norwegian macro lagers, I can’t say I opened this one with much anticipation. Well, it looks quite nice, a clear, sparkling golden body is topped by a creamy white head leaving lacings. It’s too sweetish on the nose I think, quite fruity and lightly grassy and herbal. Some peppery hints too. There’s a pleasant bitterness in the flavor, dealing nicely with the sweetness. Pears, some melon and the same grassy, herbal and lightly peppery touch found in the aroma are present in the flavor too. Medium body, semi-sweet, with a quite nice carbonation level. Lacks a bit on bitterness in the finish I think. Didn’t expect much from this one, didn’t get much either, but it’s a decent beer which I guess will suit the regular pilsner drinkers well. Awarding it 2.6 is probably being very generous, but I’m in a good mood and allow myself to do so. 140710
