Bottle 37,5 cl. Pours a murky, opaque brown with a huge if dissipating beige head. Very lively carbonation. Lovely woody nose, some - pleasantly - rotten fruit and a slight tartness. Medium body, very subtle roast, more dark dried, rotten fruit, vanilla and wood. No real bitterness. Enjoyable. 260713

This beer pours a dark mahogany color with a medium dense light beige head that diminishes slowly. Partial rings of lacing on the glass. Aroma of smoked malt, wood and fruit. Medium-bodied with a smoked meat character and flavors of burnt malt, fruit and nuts. The finish is smoky with a nutty and woody aftertaste. Above average overall.

33 cL bottle. Pours hazy orange with a huge off white head. Aroma is bretty, grapefruity and yeasty. Wineous. Smooth fruity, bretty and wineous. Smooth wooden and lingering bretty.

Bottle 37,5 cl. Pours a cloudy, opaque deep orange with a lacing white head. Some overripe fruit accents, tart grapes. Medium body, again sweet, overripe fruit, some yeast, also these tart grape notes, yeast and a little rubber. Massive late hop kick and quite some booze. Oddly enjoyable somehow. 120713

Bomber. Huge carbonation, way too much. Pours a black hue with that large beige head. a light smoky nose with some cocoa. The flavor is excellent: rich dark fruit, cocoa, chocolate, some big meaty smoke. Balanced. Lingering metallic roast notes and smoke. Great brew.

375mL capped and waxed bottle. Bottled 10/09/12, Shared by beerbeggar. Pours a much lighter shade than expected. Thick golden color and a thick long lasting head with a lasting lacing. Aroma is my favorite aspect. Smells of fresh fruit - mix of yeast and hops. Sweet and citric mix. Strong but not over the top. Could smell it forever. Flavor is more akin to our average good barley wine. Hops present with a nice yeastiness adding depth. Bitter aftertaste lasts a while. Cool stuff

Bottle courtesy of t0rin0, shared at the GT2-biggirlpanties wedding. I changed my mind about the Yazoo Sue, THIS was actually my favorite beer of the entire wedding. And the best thing about it was that GT actually rated beers at his wedding, in between dances and cutting the cake. True dedication. Oh, and the beer was very tasty, a bright deep ruby color with aroma of prunes, dates and brownies, as well as flavors of brandied prunes and chocolate. Congrats!

Bottle from 10/8/12 thanks to bu11zeye. Pours with a hazy to murky golden hued body. Massive off-white head for such a big beer. Aromas are vinous, marmalade, dark fruits, leather, rich toffee with mild melanoidins, cotton candy, some dry oak (vanillin and lactone), quite a few esters. Interesting. Flavors are estery, leathery, plums, dark fruits, dates, light marmalade, currant (which I associate with sours), vinous, toasted oak and brown sugar. Very fruit forward. Boozy. Very lively carbonation, medium dry for how big it is (albeit it feels sticky at some moments), warming, low to medium tannin. High carbonation on 10% beer, huge ester, vinous, an rustic funk hints that this might have picked up some critters in the barrel. That said if the bottles stay relatively stable, I could see this actually aging pretty well for about 3-5 years.

Bottled 10-8-12. Insanely cloudy appearance. Huge fluffy whie head that fades slowly. Nose is sort of acetic. Smells like a yeasty belgian saison. Nice peach / apricot nose and grape skins. I opened this and it smells like a wild beer. Darnit, it’s infected! Nice english yeastiness and bitterness. Malt profile is solid but it has the lacto and that just makes it weird. Grape skin and peach is nice but not in a barleywine.
