Sample at GABF 10/07/2017, thanks to my bro for assistance with note-taking. Brown-black pour with a medium beige head that diminishes gradually. Patchy lacing. Roasted coffee, malt and chocolate aroma. Medium body with a roasty coffee and malt flavor, with some chocolate in the background. The finish is coffee and malt. Pretty good overall.

Grunt fill from Albertsons. Pale golden, with active foamy head, dissipates quickly. Bready aroma, wheat, sweet, some light citrus notes. taste brings in light weizen flavors, bananas, bubblegum. Body seems thin however. Halfway between a weizen and a wheat ale.

Draft at brewery. Dark, clear brown , small head that leaves a curtain of lacing. Aroma is dark and nutty, with some hemp notes too. Taste adds some bitterness to this mix, and faint sweetness. A bit more going on than your average brown.

Clear light golden. Nary a head, white wispy spots on teh edges. Very light pale grains, yes, under hopped. Its there but for a Pils, needs a bit more noble punch. Otherwise, pretty mellow.

Taster at BitterCrot much of a hops bite. eek. When is s pils not a pils? When itβs a lager. Straight up graininess, not much of a hops bite. Sweet, grainy, drinkable, but not a pils.

On Tap at the Boise brewery/taproom Clear amber with a dense sticky light tan head and lacing. Soft muted piney hop aroma and rich caramel malts. Deep resinous hop bitterness and a lingering bite. Woody and piney mostly. Very bitter.
