Bomber from Capitol Beer. Pours light translucent gold with a white head. Aroma of mango and pale stone fruit. A little dusty. Med body or so. Flavor is a bit Brett, but quite lightly so, and the pale stone fruit stands out. Think I’ve lost the mango. More toward dry than anything else, but it qualifies for sour/wild in a quite mild manner. Super drinkable. Pretty tasty.

Bottle from 2016 Boise stone fruit tasting on 8/27, 750ml bottle thanks to Steven Whatever was being attempted here failed miserably. Ice tea flavors, light fruit notes, not enough sourness. Bad bottle perhaps? Not a good way to celebrate your anniversary.

Bottle share, thanks to Steven. Pours a yellow straw color with a moderate white head. Aroma is sour, a bit musty, some oak. Flavor is pretty muddled… kinda like an old barleywine with cardboard malts faded into oblivion, more musty elements, just a touch of faded peach. I didn’t get the heat or pepper notes at all, probably would have improved the experience too. Bummer.

Bomber from Final Gravity in Roseville, CA. Pours hazy gold with a near white head. Aroma is earthy apricot. Med body or so. Flavor is fruity apricot with some earthy hoppiness moderating the fruitiness. Seems dry, but it’s only moderately bitter. Then again, the earthiness might count towards bitter. It does seem to be pretty hoppy. I’m liking it.

Bomber from Belmont Station. Pours hazy gold with a transient white head. Aroma of slightly sour raspberries. Med body or nearly. Flavor sort of sour lemon/raspberry. A bit excessively tart perhaps, but it’s really impressive. Whoosh!
