Draft: Maraschino cherries and nail polish on the nose, volatile. Cloudy rust, headless. Very sweet maraschino cherry flavor ending in plum skins. Creamy, ethereal mouthfeel. It goes from very nearly cloying to very bitter in dramatic fashion, but good.

Copper nose, with a little honey. Clear copper, medium yellow head, minimal lacing. Less metallic on the palate, dark honey and dried leaves are detected. A tad fizzy, especially for the style.

Draft @ BW3 Lynchburg: Mild lemongrass aroma. Hazy amber, medium head. Dandelion and grass flavor, finishing with a kiss of light malt. Flavorful, but perhaps a bit too bitter for the style, but I enjoyed it that way.

32oz growler I picked up from Lost Rhino when they did their Apocalypse Ale tap takeover. Pours a hazy, light brown with some thin, white head. Nose is malty, some orange peel, some diacetyl, cracker. Flavor is the same, a little boozy actually, lemon rind, pear, malt. Wet finish. A touch messy.

32oz growler I picked up from Lost Rhino after their Apocalypse tap take over. Pours a translucent, deep, purpley amber with one ring of white head. Nose has a ton of candy, clove, big banana bread, some vanilla, caramel. Flavor is very sweet, tons of candy sugar, some plum, bubblegum, banana, some caramel, pear. Finishes sweet with a touch of black pepper. A bit too much.

Sampled at Lost Rhino. Hazy orange with lots of fluffy off white head. Nose has a distinctly home brew-y smell, like lots of old orange peels, some lemon, malt, caramel. Flavor is better, citrus is palatable, orange, lemon, pine, cracker, caramel. Bitter finish tempered with a touch of sweetness. Fix the nose and this is a flagship beer.

Sampled at the brewery. Pours amber with a medium sized frothy tan head. Decent head retention. Aroma of tart malts and earth. The taste is toasted malts, caramel and bitter hops. Medium bodied, too hop forward.
