Clear amber with a ring of white head. Smells just fine. Malt and orange. Booze. Not much. Flavor is flabby, malty, not entirely bitter either. Sticky finish.

Pint at the brewery pours a lightly burnt orange with some swirly white head. Nose has biscuit and cracker and some soap. Flavor is better. Bitter, soapy, dried citrus. Dry, medium bodied. Solid.

Pint at the brewery. Looks right, murky brown, creamy beige head. Nose is nutty, malty, some molasses, biscuit. Flavor has cocoa and toast. Medium bodied, just off dry. Well made.

On tap at the Nook. Pours dark brown, nearly black, with a medium, frothy, tan head. The aroma is blueberry and pecan pancakes, vanilla, brown bread, and light coffee. Sweet and malty, with a mild, roasty bitterness. Medium body, syrupy, and chewy. Lovely, decadent porter, without being cloying.
