Draft at Maxβs. My favorite beer of night #1 of the Belgian beer fest. Butterscotch with a nice malt backbone and great balance.

Tap at Papago. Dark maroon color, nice lacing. Decent coffee and chocolate. More like an English stout than a porter, but very tasty.

Tap at Papago. Bright golden color, massive lacing. Aroma of pine, hay and grass. Taste has plenty of resin and pine. Nice bitterness.

10th October 2008. GABF. More porterish to me and sweetish as well. Mild coffee, just a hint of the Irish Cream. Easy drinking porter, I meant stout!

Light amber color. Light aroma, showing some alcohol. It has a quite strong body, malt flavor, bitter orange peel, some alcohol. In the final there is a very light cookie touch. Itβs a bit too sweet to be a Tripel, but itβs not too bad.

Black color. Strong coconut aroma, covering the roasted malt, it reminds me the Batida liquor. Dry mouthfeel, roasted malt flavor, strong, with some coconut and chocolate. I find that adding coconut to the beer is a weird idea, but the result is drinkable.

Black color. Strong coffee aroma and vanilla, like a coffee ice cream or a coffee chocolate praline. Dry mouthfeel, plain coffee flavor, right bitterness. Correct brew.

Black color. Dusty aroma, meat, roasted malt. Medium body strength, roasted malt flavor, some ashes, light Tequila. The final is dry bad coffee. Quite weird.

Copper color. The aroma shows some fruit from the hops. It has a good toffee flavor, with just a bit of sugars, and a quite strong hopping, partially resiny; there are sweet oranges too in the final, and still some sweetness. Sweet American Pale Ale, very pleasant.
