Can. A dark red beer with a tan head. The aroma has notes of malt, caramel, and bread. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt, bread, and metal, leading to a dry finish. Thanks pinball for sharing.

Can at Sander’s place, NYC. Not crazy about this beer. Pours clear copper with a moderate, creamy-foamy head. Nose holds some dry caramel, earth pine and herbal hops. Light to medium sweet flavor, more dry, toasty caramel, herbal and lightly astringent bitterness. Medium bodied with fine to average carbonation. Some toasty malts to finish, bit of dried caramel, elderly pine and herbs. So so. Might be a little old.

Can at home in Salisbury. Pours clear brown with a small, creamy tan head. Wet burnt leaves in the aroma. Light sweet flavor with some coffee, wet ash, leaves, dirt, some tangy dark malts. Light bodied with fine carbonation. Light sweet finish with further lightly tangy dark malts, more dirt and ash, charred leaves. Pretty weak on every front.

Tap on Bourbon Street. Hazy dull deep amber-tan-brown. Big foamy off-white head. Much more enjoyable than their Blonde or Wheat, this is a respectable medium to full bodied IPA. Middle of the road hop wise, pretty classic orange-pine hop taste. Standard but enjoyable.
