Can at home in Salisbury. Pours clear brown with a small, creamy tan head. Wet burnt leaves in the aroma. Light sweet flavor with some coffee, wet ash, leaves, dirt, some tangy dark malts. Light bodied with fine carbonation. Light sweet finish with further lightly tangy dark malts, more dirt and ash, charred leaves. Pretty weak on every front.

Tap on Bourbon Street. Hazy dull deep amber-tan-brown. Big foamy off-white head. Much more enjoyable than their Blonde or Wheat, this is a respectable medium to full bodied IPA. Middle of the road hop wise, pretty classic orange-pine hop taste. Standard but enjoyable.

Can. Pours a nice orange/copper with a thin head and aromas of silo dust and a little citrus. Flavor is grainy with a caramel sweetness and a little hops punch at the end. The hops are muted and directionless in this can. Maybe a little bit of oranges and grass.

Poured up on tap at GABF 2012 with a crystal clear pure gold body supporting a thin white head of foam. The aroma is a little spicy hops, a little citrus hops and a little earthy too and overall comes off on the timid side for a IIPA and also considering the bold name but all things considered this is smelling mighty nice. The taste is interesting as it is pretty rich in flavor where sort of a lime is mixing with orange and grapefruit with just a touch of malt sweetness in the background. To midway the mild malt sweetness slowly gives ground to citrus hop bitterness into the finish. Nice middle of the road IIPA where it stays vibrant and fun but doesnβt push the boundaries.

Poured up on tap at GABF 2012 with a clear gold body supporting a light tan head of foam. The mild aroma offers up a sweet mix of orange citrus like hops and earthiness and then a little grassiness near the end of the draw. This taste is smooth tasting and seems hop flavor forward that starts a little sweet with malts mixing with orange and grapefruit hoppiness creating an orange juice sensation. Midway and into the finish the thin layer of sweet malts recedes leaving a modest degree of grapefruit like citrus bitterness that heads into the finish. After another sample this ends pleasingly bitter and forces your hand making you try a third sample. Nice IPA.

Sample at GABF 10/11/2012, thanks to Bluemeow76 for assistance with note-taking. This beer is an orange-gold color with a medium off-white head and stringy lacing. Aroma of citrus, hops and malt. Medium-bodied and moderately bitter with flavors of citrusy hops, bready malt and some pine. The finish is fruity and hoppy. Above average overall.

Handbottled (thanks K.B.!). HAzy goldeny orange colour with a mediumsized foamy white head. Aroma is citrus fruits, grass, some spruce as well as mild honey and some sweet caramel maltyness. Flavour is rather fruity and floral hoppyness along with some crisp and sweet maltyness. Very nice balance for an IPA. Highly drinkable and refreshing.

Can. An amber beer with a thin beige head. The aroma has notes of malt, caramel, and metal. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt, caramel, and a bit of metal, leading to a dry finish. Thanks pinball for sharing.
