Draft - Roast malts and some piney hops. Jet black with a brown head. Dark roast and hoppy bitterness. There is big bitterness in there but well balanced and a nice finish. A nice roasty black.

Draft - light citrus and some tropical fruit. Pale gold with a very creamy rich head. Tropical fruit with a mid bitterness and a very creamy mouthfeel. The body is a bit rich for me.

Draft - Citrus hops and a sweet backbone. Clear gold with a rich white head. Light citrus and a sweetness that leads to something odd in the finish. The finish also has a bit too much bitterness that is left on the palate.

A deep dark IPA with a thin brown head.. In aroma, light chocolate malt with coffee grind, and floral hops. In mouth, a sweet fruity chocolate malt with light coffee and floral hops. Very nice. On tap at Filmbar.

On draft at 1702 in Tucson AZ. Pours a cola brown with an ecru head. Nutty hop aroma. Creamy mouth feel. Flavors of toasted nuts and some grassy notes. Smooth finish.

12oz bottle pours with a sort of infected look to it with billowing tan head over a dark amber body. The aroma is light and a little nutty as a well as roasty and a tad earthy with malts. The taste seems coffee like at first and then pulls up some roasted malts, mineral notes and then leaving some nuttiness into the finish. The mouth feel is thin and prickly with carbonation.

12oz bottle pours crystal clear deep gold with copper hues and supporting a weak off white head. The aroma is sweet with some pear like esters, floral with hops and I’m not getting much else. The taste is similar with mild floral hops to almost earthy lime like citrus hops that are quickly swallowed whole by sugary malts and sweet pears to sweet apple estery sweetness. Wow, this just has way too much sweetness that muddles the experience. This is yet another example of trying this style in Cologne from the wooden barrel has ruined me on American brewed attempts at this style. This stuff here stinks by comparison as it lacks the crisp fresh snappy light yet richness and balance this style deserves.
