4oz. Appearance: dark brown with a tan head. Aroma: dark fruits, some roasted malt. Taste: along the same lines, low carbonation, a bit dusty, Overall: nothing special, couldn't find any evidence of barrel aging, unfortunately (even went to double-check at the bar whether I got anything else by coincidence).

Tap at the kebab venue. Pours dark ruddy brown. Aroma is dark malt and dark fruits. Bourbon notes. Full bodied. Flavor matches aroma. It’s delicious beyond my descriptive capabilities. Superb.

12.5% edition at the open air Amplified bar near the park. Short pour. Clear, amber on brown, honey black tea pour. Super still. Smell is aged, nutty, oily, oxidized, Frangelico. Rich, sharp & intense. Taste is old ale, barley wine. Is this right? Rich, greasy, varnish, bittersweet, Old Herb-like, surprised at the subtle bubbles. Hidden acidity, brown hangover incoming. Thick, yeasty, sweeter as it warms. Boozier than whatever you label it. Coating.

On tap @Amplified, near the park. 8oz pour. Golden hazy, frothy head. Pleasant orange-y, yeasty scent. Taste is mild, very rind-y/pithy bitterness, that lingers like biting grapefruit skin. White grapefruit, lemon, great salinity. Super drinkable. Surprised this is 7.5%

Starts off with the familiar deep chocolate and anise, then develops competing notes of mocha, bourbon, and an off-putting acidity, full of assertive berry and raisin bite. Finishes with a mixture of oak, vanilla, and tartness. Not sure what went wrong here, but the tart streak makes the pint hard to finish.

Pour is a cloudy gold with a large white head. Aroma is some wet dough malt and citrus hops. Flavor is pretty much the same. Some chewy wet dough pils malt with some citrus and floral hops. Decent malt and hops combo.

Can from Bine & Vine. Pours bright gold with a creamy white head. Spicy aroma over light pale malt. Not really bready. Med body. Very nicely spicy flavor - over pale malt. Crisp and clean. Enough hop to make my tongue ache in the rear parts. Excellent.
