Description
The Brew Bus fermented in 2011 when our Founder Anthony Derby was a student at The University of Colorado. When he tried to visit 3 breweries in one day he quickly realized the need for a transportation service. In 2012 we started brewing our own craft beer under the simple mission to make high quality beer that we like to drink. Today, the good times continue to roll with our own independent brewery and tasting room.

Crisp, clear light copper coloured body with a ridiculously large, five centimetre tall, super soapy tan coloured head that leaves a very very ugly ’lace’. Aroma of hops, wheat, alcohol, yeast, curacao and a good fresh herb smell as well. Medium-bodied; Strong hop flavours up front of perfumey and lightly grassy notes coupled with a good wheat flavour that shows up very refreshing and finishes with a tad of a citrus character. Aftertaste hits more of the yeast and wheat than anything else, but some lightness is noticeabler throughout with a very easy-to-drink beer. Overall, a very nice wheat ale that shows what this style is about and in my opinion, a very good representative of this style! I sampled this twelve ounce can purchased from Good Beer in New York, New York on 13-July-2014 for US$2,29 sampled back at home here in Washington on 03-October-2014.

Had this at the 2014 RB Pittsburgh Summer Gathering at Horny Devel’s place. Actually it was after the equinox at the beginning of fall, but DILLIGAF. Big thanks to James & Michelle for hosting such a nice spread of quality beers and for this particular beer a GIANT thanks goes out to artmcd8. Nice gentle yeasty aroma. Friendly big head. Poured from a can. Barely any co2 on the palate. Has some body to it. No real ill ale attributes. Overall, I found this quite acceptable. Does have a tad of saddle in there on the finish. Yes, pretty good darker beer experience.

12 ounce can courtesy of Secret Santa, 7/30/14. Thanks! Pours a dark brown color with a large foamy tan head. Good head retention. Aroma of roast, coffee, green coffee, nuts, dark fruits. The taste is chocolate, caramel, roast, a tinny note. Thin bodied. Meh.

12 ounce can courtesy of Secret Santa, 7/30/14. Thanks! A little nervous as the top of the can has completely bulged out. Pours a hazy orange color topped by about 16 ounces of head. Frothy, tan and fading quickly. Aroma of tropical fruits, wheat, a mild bit of band-aid. The taste is tropical fruit, pale malt, wheat, citrus zest, pineapple. Medium bodied, slight lingering bitterness, decent balance.

Deep ruby and light brown coloured body with a crisp, cola-coloured glow and a thin tan head. Aroma of nuts, earth, alcohol and some subtle hops. Medium-bodied; Strong caramel and nutty flavour with a lot of earth and malt noticeable, coupled with some alcohol bite and a hint of rye or grain. Aftertaste is fairly one-dimensional with a hint of caramel and sweetness at the end. Overall, a decent Irish Red with some nice light complexity. Neat to try, but I was expecting a bit more when this was brewed at Cigar City. I sampled this twelve ounce can purchased yesterday at Good Beer in New York, New York for US$2,39 on 19-July-2014 sampled on the train from New York to home in Washington on 20-July-2014.
