Cask-conditioned, on gravity, at Swindon Beer Festival 25/10/2018. Near black in colour, with a slight, beige, head. Sweetish stout, with plenty of peanut character, a touch of chocolate and some toasty malts, before a gentle finish. A bit thin-bodied, but pretty good.

Cask at Chippenham Beer Festival. Black with a beige head. Coffee is the main flavour here; it’s bitter with lots of heavily roasted malt. Behind that though there’s a smooth creamy sweetness to balance it out with a hint of dates and molasses, making it a rich, satisfying beer to start the festival on. Nice.
