Description
Beer For People Who Love To Ride Dinosaurs!

From the moment they started they knew they weren’t cool. They didn’t have beards and attempts at growing them were simply humiliating and a little embarrassing for them and their families. So they set aside their rose scented facial wax and tiny combs and focused on what they knew best… brewing quality beer (and dinosaur puns)!

Hatched in 2015 by three clean shaven friends with an obsession for beer and dinosaurs, Staggeringly Good have quickly become known as one of the UK’s leading breweries ranking consistently in the TOP 20 in the country on Untappd.’

Yes it’s all got a little out of control since we first uttered the sentence ‘Hey shall we get together on Sunday and brew some beer?’. Now there are grown up things like bills and stuff, but don’t worry we’re not going to let that get in the way of us having a grain sack load of fun. Catch you at the tap room soon dino-riders!

Cask-conditioned at the Lime Kiln, Bristol 15/7/2016. Deep amber in colour, with a decent, off-white, head. Citrus hops, some red berries and tangerines, sweetish malts and a moderately dry finish. Good.

Cask at Reading Beer Festival. Black. Smooth chocolate, Light roasted malts, but generally more sweet than bitter. Nice but failed to wow me- have been mainly having dark beers at this fest because it’s too cold, and maybe I’ve got dark beer fatigue!

Bottleshare at Chez Smith. Thanks to Leighton. Almost clear gold beer, small pale cream colour head. Palate is light, mildly dry and has decent fine carbonation. Very light sweetish malts. Sweet floral potpourri and mild spice. Modest floral citrus. Airy semi dry finish. Quite fluffy and floral, but never get cloying. Most entertaining!

Bottle shared at Leightons place, 14/12/15. Many thanks to Leighton for this one. Translucent yellow / straw coloured pour with a lasting frothy white head. Aroma is fragrant poi Perry,, kaffir lime, lavender soapy. Flavour is composed of light grains, lavender, Saddleworth, galangal,, kaffir lime, slightly soapy. Palate is light and frothy, crisp finish. Heavy on the spices but I find it pretty drinkable.

Bottle shared in London - picked up at the Eebria taproom. Pours mostly clear gold with a frothy white head. Huge spice nose, herbs, citrus peel, rose hips, perfume. Light sweet flavor with a soapy note, more spices, potpourri, more citrus peel. Light bodied with average carbonation. Dry finish, dry citrus peel, orange rind, rose water. Too much perfume, but novel.

Bottle split at the Bespin cloud network, thanks to LKS, 15/12/15. Hazed orange golden with a decent off white covering. Nose is floral, lemon grass, spice, mandarin, tangerine, rose hip. Taste comprises big floral notes, grassy, light spice, mandarin, herbal notes. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with light hop bitterness. Ok, overly perfumed, too sweet to return to for me.

Bottle thanks to Leighton. It pours clear bright gold with a massive white head. The nose is fresh, juicy, spiced, fragrant, floral, citrus, chai latte and straw. The taste is crisp, clean, bitter, quite dry, soda water, weak citrus, icing sugar and straw with a short, dry finish. Medium body and high, foamy carbonation. Ok, but a bit too highly carbonation. Clean. Ok.

Cask at the 7th Basingstoke Octoberfest. An amber colour with a loose white head; rich fruity aroma; and a full fruity taste with a touch of orange; then a crisp bitter finish. Easy drinking, with no obvious signs of the strength.
