Description
Beer For People Who Love To Ride Dinosaurs!

From the moment they started they knew they weren’t cool. They didn’t have beards and attempts at growing them were simply humiliating and a little embarrassing for them and their families. So they set aside their rose scented facial wax and tiny combs and focused on what they knew best… brewing quality beer (and dinosaur puns)!

Hatched in 2015 by three clean shaven friends with an obsession for beer and dinosaurs, Staggeringly Good have quickly become known as one of the UK’s leading breweries ranking consistently in the TOP 20 in the country on Untappd.’

Yes it’s all got a little out of control since we first uttered the sentence ‘Hey shall we get together on Sunday and brew some beer?’. Now there are grown up things like bills and stuff, but don’t worry we’re not going to let that get in the way of us having a grain sack load of fun. Catch you at the tap room soon dino-riders!

That's it, man: brown muddy black body and modest head. Cocoa and oatmeal on the nose, sweet and rank. Flavour is heavily modified motor oil, sweet Ghanaian chocolate, and Salvadorean coffee. Could be stronger on the mouth. Sort of a sessionable IPA if such a thing exists (I think this is it).

Keg at the Queens Road Tap, Leicester. Yellow/golden, not so much cloudy as soupy. Banana, some melon, touch of vanilla bean, touch of wood. Taste is not what I was expecting. Bitterness to the fore with a bit of smoke and some tropical fruit. There's some milky sweetness in the middle but it finishes even more bitter.strong hop oils on the back of the tongue. Low carbonation. I liked it but can also appreciate that not everyone will.

Keg at MK's Vauxhall. It pours hazy creamy orange with a small white head. The aroma is bitter - sweet, juicy, oily, toasty grain, orange marmalade and some melon. The taste is dry, bitter, pithy, mango, orange peel, tangerine, graininess, grass, weed and a kick of alcohol. Medium body and fine carbonation. A touch grainy and the balance is not really there. Fair.

Keg at MK VHX, 28/02/18. Murky orange amber with a decent off white cap. Nose is grapefruit, pine resin, mango, bitter orange, light bread dough. Taste comprises cantaloupe melon, pine needle, mellow tropicana, toasted malts, orange pith. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with very lightly dankened hop bitterness. Decent enough IPA.

Can. Hazy deep amber - brown beer, small cream colour head. Smooth palate, reasonable fine carbonation. Rye tang in the malts, a little unsweet caramel as well. Some malt cream. Ripe orange, modest spice. Smooth finish. Could do with some hops!

Can. Slightly murky amber beer, tall cream colour head. Smooth palate, has a very slight viscosity. Good fine carbonation. Smooth malts, slightly dry, reasonable creamy sweetness. Decent Ekuanot hops, lacking brightness but otherwise good. Ripe orange and peach, trace of apricot. Smooth pine and a little spice. Smooth finish brings mild bitterness. Overall - it's satisfying and drinkable.

Can shared in Hackney - thanks to Davey. Pours hazy orange with a foamy, white head. Raw citrusy hops in the nose, some pine, oranges, tangerine. Light to medium sweet flavour with notes of bubblegum, more tangerine, mild bitterness. Medium bodied with fine to average carbonation. Finishes with a little boozy warmth, pale bread, strawberry, tangerine. Pretty nice overall.
