Sampled at the 2014 Untapped festival in Fort Worth. Pours a clear amber red with a light brown head that dissipates to the edges and laces. Aroma has a nice pine note with some resin, a touch of grass and a slight sweet grain backbone. Flavor combines the sweet grain backbone well with bitter pine, resin and a bit of grass.

Tap at Common Table, Dallas - deep black with a tan head - silky, smooth texture - this one has the depth and heft of an imperial stout of considerably higher strength - sweet flavors of prune, fig, chocolate, anise - balancing flavors of lightly tart acidity, red wine-like tannins - some note of smoke and a light savory character on the tail end - I loved this one.

On tap. Hazy golden yellow pour lasting white head. Citrusy, orange and bready aromas, floral. Lightly sweet. Citrus , zest, mineral, floral honey, low hop. Medium bodied, dry, fuller carbonation. Quite good for what it is.

A dense, beige head sits patiently on top of a glowing amber body, hazy and with microfloaties. Sort of woody on the nose, with toffee and a fruity touch. There’s toffee in the flavor too, with some roasted notes and a little touch of prunes. Full to medium body, soft carbonation. Quite dry. Lasting toffee finish with dried fruits and some hints of dirt. Quite decent, nothing more. 140118
