Bottle at ChrisO’s Pre-Christmas Tasting. It pours darkest brown with a medium light beige head. The nose is soft, tangy, jammy berry, glacé cherry and charred malts. The taste is bitter, toasted sugars, ashy, cocoa, leather, burnt wood and some dark fruit with a dry, woody finish. Medium body and moderate carbonation. Nice jammy aspect to the aroma. Pretty decent overall.

Bottle. Beer Central, Sheffield. Hazy gold. Sticky, messy, off white head. Aroma of barley sugar. Peach and peach stone. Some citrus zest. Taste is very sweet, first off, turning zesty, pithy bitter. Mouthfeel is full, and a bit gooey. Finishes fairly long, turning earthy, bitter. Overall, too sweet and sticky for a Tripel.

Bottle shared at the chriso and Ruth pre-Christmas / post-Pigs Ear holiday tasting of 2015 - London. Cheers! Pours deep brown with a frothy, off-white head. Roasted grains in the nose, light chocolate, coffee. Medium sweet flavor with decent earthy bitterness, more chocolate, burnt sugars. Medium to full bodied with fine carbonation. A bit sugary on the finish, with notes of roasted malts and milk chocolate. OK stuff. Drinks pretty well for the strength, but perhaps it’s just a touch too sugary.

Cask on gravity, at the Great Welsh Beer Festival, 5/11/2015. Golden in colour, with a slight, white, head. Aroma of tangerines, lemon and grassy hops. Flavour had biscuity malts, more citrus fruits and a dryish finish. Good.

Bottle share at Leighton’s Stratoflat. Thanks to Daniel. Hazy amber beer, tidy cream colour head. Palate is light and semi dry. Mild fine carbonation. Light malts, dry. Little.floralness. Modest marmalade hops before a dry finish. A bit wishy washy.

Bottle, thanks to Kenny Daniel, split at LKS Moon Dome, 21/04/15. Lightly hazed orange amber with a moderate off white covering. Nose is bitter orange, biscuit, malt, straw. Taste comprises light bread, caramel, orange rind, straw. Medium bodied, moderate carbonation, semi drying close. So so.

Bottle shared at Leightons pad. Clear dull amber coloured pour with a fading halo of white head. Aroma is subdued nutty grains, hedgerow hop, brambles, touch of citrus. Flavour is composed of pale grains, chalky, floral, hedgerow berry. Quite refreshing. Palate is light, highish carbonation,

Bottle shared in London - thanks to Daniel. Pours clear orange with a foamy white head. The aroma holds some dusty leaves, vague orange citrus. Light sweet flavor with some bitter citrus rind, more leaves, dried grains. Light bodied with fine to average carbonation. Lightly drying on the finish, some further leafy bitterness, grains, mellow grass. So so.
