Nutty pecan aroma with chocolate accents. Black, medium tan head, good lacing. Pecan and almond flavor, lightly and appropriately sweet. Finishes more bitter with some toast and char notes. Drinks a little hot. Great example of the style without being milquetoast, pun absolutely intended.

Draft @ Virginia Craft Beer Festival 2013, Williamsburg VA: Tangerine and grapefruit nose. Cloudy amber, thin head. Tangerine flavor, good intensity, finishes with grapefruit. Solidly bitter, resinous, full of flavor. Great beer, awesome name.

Draft at the VA Craft Brewers Festival, Devils Backbone, 8/24/13. Pours a hazy orange color with not much of a head. Aroma of bubblegum, banana and a phenolic finish. The taste is wheat, citrus, bubblegum. Medium bodied, very straightforward.

Tap, pours hazy light amber, medium white head, nice lacing. Aroma is herbal, peppery, grass, yeast, lemon zest. Flavor is about the same, pretty dry, lit zesty bitter. Medium body, nice.

Charcoal and vaniilla aroma. Black, thin tan head. Charcoal flavor, mild astringency. Slight sweet grainy roasty finish.

Lilly with fruity lemon zest and whole orange nose. Hazy amber, medium head. Medium body, somewhat fizzy. Whole orange and lemon zest. Indistinct transitions, but tasty and flavorful. Very fresh.

Draft. Cloudy golden brown color, thick white head, solid lacing. Aroma of lemon, raw bread dough, straw and a bit of barnyard. Taste is a bit heavy on the citrus, but is otherwise a pretty decent saison. Nice body. A good start for a new brewery, something a bit more adventurous than usual.
