Sampled on draft at the brewpub this beer poured a black color with a medium sized creamy beige head that faded but left decent lacing. The aroma was malty, a bit woody, grainy, a touch roasty and had a fig note. The flavor was rather bitter, dry and woody with dark fruits followed by notes of grain, must and nut. Long finish with growing bitterness. Medium body. Ok.

Sampled on draft at the brewpub this beer poured a murky red-brown color with a medium sized foamy beige head that faded and left a bit of lacing. The aroma was dry, wheaty and a bit herbal and perfumey. The flavor was dry, bitter and wheaty with lemon, perfume, ginger powder and an herbal note. Long dry and bitter finish. Medium body. Meh.

Sampled on draft at the brewpub this beer poured a dark amber color with a medium sized fluffy orange-white head that lingered and left good lacing. The aroma was tangy, sweetish, honey, golden fruits and bread. The flavor was bitter, tangy and sweet with a strong honey presence followed by rye, bread, toffee and fruity hops. Medium length finish. Medium body. Outstandingly quaffable.

Sampled on draft at the brewpub this beer poured a slightly hazy dark golden color with a large fluffy orange-white head that lingered and left excellent lacing. The aroma was bitter, citric, perfumey hops and was fairly dry. The flavor was dryish, musty, quite bitter, citric, perfumey, a touch herbal, chalky and astringent. Very long finish. Medium body. Ok.

Sampled on draft at the brewpub this beer poured a very dark brown - almost black - color with a large foamy brown head that left good lacing. The aroma was molasses, date, fig, raisin, a boozy brandy presence and treacle. The flavor was quite tart and sour with date, fig, raisin, bing cherry, molasses, treacle, brandy and a strong boozy presence. Very long finish. Moderately full bodied. Interesting.

Sampled on draft at the brewpub this beer poured a brown color with a tan highlights and a large foamy tan head that faded quickly and left a bit of lacing. The aroma was malty, toffee, caramel and raisin. The flavor was tart and sour with caramel, date, raisin, yeast, a hint of butterscotch and a bit of a boozy presence. Long finish. Alcohol pretty well contained. Full body. Interesting.

The aroma was toasted nuts and a hint of roasty malts. The flavor was semi sweet with toasted nuts, a touch of wood, roasty malts, coffee and a hint of fruit. Long finish. Medium body. Solid.

Sampled on draft at the brewpub this beer poured a murky dark brown color with a medium sized creamy tan head that left a bit of lacing. The aroma was tart cherry, nut, brett and almost chocolate. The flavor was a nicely complex mix of toasty malts, nut, tart and sour cherries, a strong brett presence, almost chocolate and toffee. Very long finish with lingering nut, brett, toffee and cherry. Medium body but a touch flat. Quite interesting.
