On tap at the brewpub. Next to black pour, a dense, finger thick dark beige head on top. Some curtains. Toffee, roasted malts, lactose-sweetness and something that might be coconut, but really subdued. Semi sweet on the palate, with a nice carbonation level. Low on bitterness all the way. Rather boring this one. 150617

On tap at the brewpub. An unclear orange colored beer topped by a small, off-white head. The aroma has pine cones, lemon zest, some orange notes and pale malts. Full-bodied and nicely carbonated. There’s a nice bitterness in the flavor, dealing easily with the light malty sweetness. Pine cones and citrus fruits, and a lasting zesty, orangey, bitter finish. 150617

On tap at the brewpub. A clear, brown beer topped by a dense, beige, finger thick head leaving lacing. Malty aroma with bread, some caramel and hints of pine cones. Mostly malty flavor too, rather dry, and with a decent bitterness. Some pine cones and grass too. Medium body and a nice carbonation level. Lovely bitterness in the finish. 150617

Sampled on draft this beer poured a dark brown color with a medium sized creamy orange-tan bead that lingered and left good lacing. The aroma was malty, sour caramel and fruity hops. The favor was bitter fruity hops, malted milk and toffee. Medium finish. Medium body. Meh.

@ bocktown 8AM PCBW 2015 kegs & eggs. Smells quite sweet and volatile. Nice scummy thin head. A darker brown hazy beer. Wew, initially quite strong kick in the palate. Bitter stuff. Leather. A little difficult for this lager lover. Becomes a tad cloying near the finish. For some reason was thinking it would be a wilder or tart beer, but ho hum. Lacking carbonation. Yes, I’m not an expert, but I think calling this an amber style is pushing it.

On tap at Saaz Monster at 6%, 35 IBU. Filtered orange-copper color. Foamy white head. Rather straightforward classic lager, nice Saaz feel but nothing "monstrous". Not really on par with a good German example. A touch grainy. OK.

Sampled on draft at the brewpub this beer poured a dark caramel-brown color with a huge fluffy orange-tan head that lingered forever and left good lacing. The aroma was dry with strong gritty herbal and floral hops. The flavor was sweetish with toasted caramel and fairly strong gritty and leafy floral and herbal hops. Long finish. Medium body. Solid.
