The appearance was a dark brown close to black color with a finger’s worth of white foamy head that dissipated pretty quick. Streamy lace.
The aroma had a good amount of roasted dark malts, substantial milk chocolate tones, some dark chocolate, some woodiness and a little bit of smoke.
The flavor was towards the roasty side at first and bit into the sweetness slightly. Long roasty aftertaste and finish.
The palate was about medium bodied and leaning towards a decent sipping quality about it. Carbonation felt fine. ABV felt fine. Roastiness doesn’t feel a bit bigger than expected but I didn’t mind.
Overall, pretty damn good stout that I would love to have again.

The appearance was murky dark brown color with a finger’s worth of slowly dieing foamy head. Sly streamy lace.
The aroma had some soft sweet nuts with a slight roast to it. Nice caramel/toffee malt base.
The flavor leaned sweet initially and then allowed a decent roastiness in it. Aftertaste was sweet nuts. Finish was smooth sweet nuts.
The palate was about medium bodied, perhaps just a touch under with a nice sessionability about it. Good carboation and the ABV felt good.
Overall, pretty good brown ale that I could have again.
