Draft at the brewery. Pours a very dark brown color with a large creamy tan head. Good head retention. Aroma of sweet malts, oats, chocolate, mild smoke and a hoppy finish. The taste is roasted malts, chocolate, coffee, oats and a hoppy finish. Medium bodied, smooth and creamy. Well done... I really liked this.

Cask at Rustico Alexandria. First beer Iโ€™ve had from this particular brewery, and I was quite impressed with this one. Poured a dark opaque brown/black color with a small off-white head. Aroma was roasted malts, with some pumpkin character, nutmeg is there and cinnamon is subtle. Not picking up too much clove, which is usually a plus for me. Nice and rich mouthfeel to this one, even for a cask which often can come across a bit weak. Will keep my eye out in the future for this one.

Draft. Orange and caramel malt aroma. Golden yellow color with small head. Sweet orange caramel malt and moderately bitter orange peel hops flavor. Really like a malty IPA - probably in the minority.

Raisins, molasses, roasted barley malt aroma. Mahogany, medium tan head, good lacing. Unsweetened cola flavor. Subtle coffee finish. Very fizzy, unpleasant detracting mouthfeel. Too dry, particularly for the style, and way over-carbonated. Improves upon warming.
