Draft @ Circa1918 in Newport News VA: Faint hay nose. Cloudy amber, thick head, glass evenly coated. Mouthfeel is a tad watery. Light malt and straw flavor, non-vegetal. Clean finish. Quaffable and flavorful. Quite well done, just not a style that ever gets high ratings from me.

Clove heavy banana nose, bready. Clear amber, thin head. Clove flavor, bready wheat notes, slightly vegetal. Refreshing and a nice stab at a wheat ale for a young brewery.

Original rating 4/6/2011 Draft: Orange peel aroma overtaken by prominent gym sock smell. Clear rose colored, thin yellow head. Smooth, but thin. Flavor of cherries, floral mix of rosehip and lillies. A little hotter than I like. Drinks like an imperial red without the northwest hops one finds in the good imperial reds that are available. Original rating: 2/3/5/1/10=2.1 4/27/2012 Bottle re-rate: Dandelion, marshmallow peep, and Tang nose. Hazy amber, thin head. Whole orange, subtle grapefruit peel, and vague floral hints. Medium body, significant bitterness but tolerable. This beer is completely different from its initial offering. New and improved!
