03/12 0.33 l bottle @El Estribo, Madrid. It poured hazy copper to brown body with quite big head. Quite strong caramel and chocolate malt aroma with orange and herbal hops balancing it. Quite the same followed in the flavor, bipolar with strong bitter hop and rounding, strong malty components. Pleasant chocolate, caramel and toffee sweetness with herbal bitterness. Full in body, smooth but the finish was more bitter in fine herbal way and only a bit of caramel and sour fruits. A tasty double IPA, although did not hit the very top.

28/11 0.33 l bottle @Cimmeria, Oviedo. Guinea pigs are hard to find, this is the first time I see any, after almost 10 days in Spain! It poured almost clear ruby brown body with tiny, but obviously off white head. Nice and strong aroma of barrel, scotch, caramelized sugar and licorice. Flavor was on the sweet side, caramel, toffee, other toasted malts, not much boozy nor woody, creamy and mild on palate, managing to be cloying in the same time. Finish was long, pleasant caramel and roasted sugar with some licorice or alcohol. Quite nice, easy going Belgian style based scotch ale.

75cl bottle at El Pedal, Madrid. Pours black with a small, beige head. Aroma of roasted malt, dark chocolate, hops and fruits. Medium to full body. Well crafted with alcohol well integrated. Sweet and delicious dark chocolate followed by a nice, slightly citrusy bitterness. Quite hoppy, reminds me of Black IPA. Very nice! (2012-08-17)
