Poured from a 16 oz can dated November 20, 2020. Aroma is malt forward with quite a bit of toasted bread, roast and lighter chocolate notes. Light caramel and toffee notes. Medium light hop notes, grassy, herbal and some light citrus notes. Hints of alcohol. Pours back with dark brown hues on the edges and a large, thick, pillowy, light mocha head that shows nice retention as it slowly recedes to a small film that lingers. High amount of lacing and faint legs. Flavor is somewhat sweet with fairly strong malt notes. Lots of toasted bread, roast, chocolate and lighter toffee and caramel notes. Medium bitterness and light alcohol spice. Moderate hop notes that are herbal and a bit spicy with light grassy notes and hints of pine and citrus. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with medium carbonation. Low astringency and low alcohol warmth. Overall, a solid beer. Lots of wet hop character with quite a bit of malt notes as well. I'm not sure if this is different than their other tipple, but the other listings don't mention wet hopping.

Poured from a 16 oz can dated October 15, 2020. Aroma is malt forward with loads of roast and lighter chocolate notes. Light toasted bread, caramel and toffee notes. Light herbal, spicy hop notes and a hint of alcohol. Pours black with a medium large, thick, pillowy, dark tan head that recedes slowly to a small film that lingers. Flavor is somewhat sweet with moderately strong roast notes and lighter chocolate, caramel and toffee notes. Hints of ash and leather. Medium to medium high bitterness and hints of alcohol. Light spicy, herbal hop notes. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with medium carbonation. Low astringency and low alcohol warmth. Overall, a solid dark lager. A bit bigger and bolder than the standard dark lager, but it works pretty well. I think I prefer Death & Taxes more than this, but it's still really good.

Can from The Davis Beer Shoppe. Pours clear, light, bright gold with a large foamy white head. Aroma of pale grain and slight cracker. Hint of grassy hop. Heading for med body. Flavor is pale grain and something like sushi rice more than crackery malt. It has a sharp hoppiness that seems grassy. It's quite dry and nicely bitter. Very clean.
