Can from The Davis Beer Shoppe. Pours dark brown with a moderate beige head. Aroma is typically toasty malt with some arguable grass and floral. Med body. Flavor is very Tmavy. Arguably some dark fruit. Bitterness from Saaz hop. Extremely tasty.

Can from The Davis Beer Shoppe. Pours brassy gold with a foamy white head. Mild grass/spice aroma over light breadiness. Near med body. Flavor is spice then grass then spice. Bread in support. Crisp and clean apply. Tastes really good.

Poured from a 16 oz can dated May 14, 2020. Aroma is a fairly balanced blend of hops and malt. Moderately strong notes of herbal, woody hop notes. Moderate notes of caramel, toasted bread, nuts and toffee with hints of raisin and cherry. Pours a fairly clear, amber / auburn color with a medium large, medium thick, tan head that recedes slowly to a small film that lingers. Light lacing and faint legs. Flavor is slightly sweet with moderately strong hop and malt notes. Fairly strong bitterness and a hint of alcohol spice. Moderately strong malt notes of caramel and toasted bread with lighter notes of biscuit, nuts, honey and toffee with faint raisin and cherry notes. Moderate woody, herbal malt notes. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with medium carbonation. Low astringency and low alcohol warmth. Overall, I'm not a huge fan of red ales / ESBs, and this one isn't really an exception, but it is executed well and full of flavor.

16oz can at share. Clear golden body, with a small white head. Evrything you'd expect from a pils is there, malty, biscuity, grassy and finishing with a nice bite. Tasty.

Poured from a 16 oz can dated May 5, 2020. Aroma is similar to Death and Taxes with a fairly string chocolate malt note and lighter roast character. Light bready malt notes as well. Faint woody, herbal hop notes. Pours black with dark brown hues on the edges and a large, thick, pillowy, tan head that recedes steadily to a small film that linger sin clumps on the edges. Moderate lacing and no legs. Flavor is slightly sweet with a moderately crisp, dry finish. Moderate chocolate and lighter roast and bread notes. Medium bitterness with light notes of woody, herbal hops. Mouthfeel is medium light bodied with medium carbonation. Low astringency and low alcohol warmth. Overall, a fun beer. Its not better than its individual parts, but its pretty good, crushable and tasty.

Poured from a 16 oz can dated March 23, 2020. Aroma is malt forward with medium light grain and biscuit notes. Light smoke and hints of floral, woody hops. Pours a very clear, somewhat pale gold with a large, thick, pillowy white head that recedes steadily to a small film that lingers in clumps on the edges. Moderate lacing and no legs. Flavor is somewhat sweet with medium light grain notes and a bit of biscuit and cracker. Light, sweet, smokey notes with a hint of fruitiness. Light herbal, floral hop notes and a hint of alcohol. Mouthfeel is light bodied and crisp with medium carbonation. Low astringency and low alcohol warmth. Overall, a tasty lager. The smokiness adds a nice complexity and is well balanced with the sweet malt notes and woody, floral hop notes.

Poured from a 16 oz can dated April 09, 2020. Aroma is a balanced blend of grains and hops. Medium light cracker malt notes with hints of caramel and biscuit. Moderate grapefruit, pine, woody, citrus forward hop notes with some light herbal and grassy notes. Pours a slightly hazy, golden orange with a medium large, moderately thick, frothy white head that recedes steadily to a moderately sized film that linger son the edges. Medium lacing and small legs. Flavor is slightly sweet with moderate cracker malt notes and light caramel and biscuit. Strong, but not aggressively assertive bitterness with light alcohol notes. Fairly strong woodsy, pine, grapefruit and herbal hop notes with lighter lemon and grass notes. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with medium carbonation. Low astringency and low alcohol warmth. Overall, a nice old style DIPA. Hops are old school, bitterness is old school. No juicy, fruity hop bomb here. What's old is new again.

Pours a slightly hazy, pale, dusty, golden straw color with a fairly large, thick, pillowy, white head that recedes slowly but steadily to a small, thin film that lingers. Moderate lacing and no legs. Flavor is slightly sweet with light cracker malt and grain notes. Medium light bitterness and no alcohol spice. Medium light hop notes of grapefruit pith, pine and dank resin notes. Mouthfeel is light bodied with medium carbonation. Low astringency and low alcohol warmth. Overall, a pretty nice pale ale. A solid hop profile with a nice, light malt character. Easy drinking and very crushable.

Pours a slightly hazy, brilliant gold color with a large, thick, frothy, white head that recedes slowly to a small film that lingers a bit on the edges. Moderately high lacing and no legs. Flavor is somewhat sweet with moderately strong grain notes of bread, cracker, and biscuit. Moderately strong bitterness with medium light hop notes of woody, herbal and spicy notes with faint floral character and a hint of fruit esters. Mouthfeel is light bodied with medium carbonation. Low astringency and low alcohol warmth. Overall, a pretty enjoyable lager. Nice malt notes with assertive bitterness and hop notes. Hop notes and bitterness are not too strong though and malt is still center stage.
