31/02/2012 La Tana (tap). Nera, riflessi color caffè e miele di castagno, schiuma bianca morbida, abbastanza abbondante, non molto persistente. Al naso sentori netti di caffè e luppoli, lievito belga, molto pulita e decisamente intrigante. In bocca è molto complessa, essendo di fatto una "belgian black IPA" si percepiscono distintamente tutte le componenti della birra. Forse risulta un po’ carente di corpo per tenere a bada una simile esuberanza e complessità. In compenso si lascia bere abbastanza bene e gli 8 gradi risultano perfettamente nascosti.

Bottle 330ml.[ Courtesy of fiulijn ]. Unclear medium orange colour with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, toasted, caramel, fruity, light to moderate hoppy, orange - citrus, moderate yeasty, fruity, light spicy yeast. Flavour is moderate to light light heavy sweet and bitter with a long duration, fruity, yeasty, riped fruit, hoppy, dry. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20120617]

30/06/2012 La Tana (tap). Ambrata, color miele, abbastanza torbida e cremosa., schiuma bianca leggera, poco persistente. Al naso sentori di malto, frutta matura, luppolo, erbe. In bocca ha un attacco dolciastro e un lunghissimo, esagerato finale amaro, con una punta quasi di liquirizia (rabarbaro?) e una notevole astringenza. Corpo medio-pieno, carbonazione soft. Un po’ troppo sgraziata.

Cloudy golden color, with generous compact head. It has a nice fresh aroma of fruity hops, and maybe too much yeast, spicy and lightly cheesy. Good body, sweet and malty flavor, with good yeast component (spices), and good hopping, fruity (bitter oranges); strong bitterness; because of the yeast, the final is quite astringent.
Too much yeast in the bottle, but a good beer in the end.

From tap at Open Baladin. Pours hazy orange with a small white head. Aroma is grapefruity and citrusy hoppy. Smooth peachy, grapefruity and citrusy.

14/03/2012 La Tana (tap). Dorata, abbastanza limpida, schiuma biancastra. Aroma intenso e decisamente evocativo, malto, lieviti, spezie, con magnifiche note erbacee e balsamiche e un leggero agrumato. In bocca ci si aspetterebbe un bel po’ di luppolo, invece è una saison molto tranquilla, dolciastra, ma con una discreta secchezza sul finale. Corpo medio-basso, leggermente "watery", carbonazione corretta. Ben fatta, gradevole e dissetante.

22/10/2011 La Tana (tap). Arancia carica, abbastanza limpida, bella schiuma bianca leggermente crespa e ricca di bolle, molto persistente. Aroma intensissimo e gradevolissimo, un bel bouquet di frutta (pesca, albicocca, frutta esotica, cocco). In bocca è ben bilanciata, malto, lievito, luppolo, frutta, con un bell’amaro intenso e persistente. Corpo medio, carbonazione generosa. Wow!

21/01/2012 La Tana (tap). Scura, profonda, impenetrabile, schiuma color cappuccino. Al naso ha un bell’aroma di malti tostati, notevole, ma più simile a una porter che non a una Black IPA. Il luppolo fa fatica a venir fuori. In bocca invece l’amaro dei luppoli si fa sentire, con un finale molto lungo e una notevole persistenza che segue l’attacco tostato. Corpo medio, un po’ poco scorrevole al palato, buona carbonazione. Manca un po’ l’apporto aromatico dei luppoli.
