Cask @Black Door. Clear golden color, medium-sized white head. A bit musty grassy aroma. Light-bodied. Very grassy, leafy flavor. Dry golden ale.

Cask @ Angleterre. Amber, mahogany color beer with a thin white head. Bready, musty, earthy, fruity aroma. Flavor has fruitiness, hops, caramel and earthy notes. Nice balance. Easy, really tasty.

Finally the last county in England! This was a very typical example of the Golden Ale style. Golden with a nice fluffy head. Fresh and lots of lemon pith on nose and taste. Fairly balanced if not the most exciting thing I’ve drunk recently.

Cask at the haymarket. Pours clear golden, nose is musty toffee, light lemon, taste is dry, toffee.

Flasche(Dank an Sabine!): Deep golden , a bit unclear, quite quickly collapsing loose off-white head, dry fruity-malty nose, tannic hops and an illusion of almonds detectable; moderate dryish bitter-sweet flavour, a certain malty base still present; pretty light bodied but not watery at all; mild but still quite spicy bitter-fruity finish. O.K. …

Cask at the Claret. It pours dark brown with a small tan head. The nose is bitter - sweet, charcoal, coffee, chocolate powder and touch of tobacco smoke. The taste is smooth, bitter - sweet, treacle, cacao nibs, earthy roast, coffee grounds, burnt toast and charred wood with a dry, toasted finish. Medium body and soft carbonation. Thankfully not that sweet (given the name). Pretty well rounded and drinkable.

Pours dark, brown tinges at the base, with a small cream head. Lots of coffee in the aroma, with dark malts in the background. Taste- again it’s coffee-dominated, roast malt, espresso, more sweet than bitter, milky coffee finish. Quite tasty.

Cask at the Anchor, Isle of Wight. Clear golden amber color. Aroma ofightly toasted caramel. Taste is lightly burnt caramel. Light body. OK.
