We’re the oldest brewery on the Isle of Wight and one of the first independent craft beer producers in the UK. Goddards has been brewing fine real ales in the beautiful surroundings of Barnsley Farm since 1993.

Cask at Akkurat, Stockholm. Clear nut brown. Nutty and roasty. Mid sweet with medium body and rounded mouthfeel. Mild and caramelly, long spicy bitterness. Unspectacular, but pleasant.

Amber with a small off-white head. Aroma of malt and toffee with a hint of almond. Fruity and toffee malty flavour with grassy and herbal hops and a nice bitter finish.

Cask @ Market Porter, Borough SE1. Pours a pale yellow color with a small white head. Has a fruity malty hoppy aroma. Fruity malty citrus hoppy flavor. Has a fruity malty hoppy finish.

Cask @ Market Porter, London. Pours clear golden with a small white head and lacings. Peach and grain. A bit of citrus. Medium and smooth. Ends dry. Decent.

Cask (Giddy Bridge JDW, Southampton) - Dark gold/amber in colour. Nuts, toffee and hops in the aroma. The taste is nutty and hoppy with notes of toffee and malt also being evident.

Cask@Pembury Tavern, London. Amber colour, smaall white head. Aroma is wood, some hops and quite rich on the malts as well. Flavour is quiite much the same. A rather stereotypical bitter, with no surprises.

Bottle from Tesco. Burnt orange pour with absolutely no head. This bottle may not have been treated very well. Big skunky metalic smell. Palete is very thin. Flavour is metalic slightly nutty. Worst beer I’ve have in a long time.

Cask, at JDW The Palmerston Arms, Southsea 24.06.11 Pours amber with a slim white head, there is good clarity to this. Touch of sharpness and fruit on the nose, fruity in the mouth, touch dry, middling bitterness. Ok. A6 A4 T6 P3 Ov12 3.1

Bottled. An amber beer with a lazing beige head. The aroma has notes of malt and caramel. The flavor is sweet wtih notes of malt and caramel, leaidng to a lightly bitter finish.
