On Tap at Oedo Beer Festival in Kanda, 2015 version, from a super small, 5 litre steel keg. Pours nice amberish golden, small head. Looking beautiful and fresh. Aroma is sweetish, some honey, malt character and also some herbal bitterness. First sip reveals some sweetness, herbal bitter flavour intensifies a bit but is still balanced with the strong and sticky body. Nice, but definitely too young - this beer would taste terrific after a few years of ageing. I even feel a bit guilty to drink it in this not-prime condition as the flavours are still edgy, somewhat green and still need more time to come together.

On tap at CCB Sapporo. Slightly cloudy brown pour with a small beige head. Nose has some cinnamon, chocolate, vanilla and whiskey as it warms up. Taste is more of the same with the whiskey being pleasantly noticeable. Nice smooth finish. Body is a little light, but easy drinking.

Tap at Popeye, Tokyo. 12.0 %. Clear amber color, not much head. Aroma has alcohol, bread and light fruityness. Medium-bodied to full-bodied. Alcoholic kick, woody and dry. Some bitterness. Simple.

On tap at Beer Keyaki Spring 2014. Cloudy very pale straw pour. Wheat, spicy clove nose, not bad. Wheaty, spicy cloves with a bit of a fruity tang to it. Pretty good.

On tap at Beer Keyaki Spring 2014. Cloudy honey gold pour. A kind of biscuity nose I can’t pin down. Mild caramel flavor, a hint of bitterness in the finish. A run of the mill English Pale ale but ok enough.

Tap at 2 Dogs. Orange color, clear, with a low head. Malty nose, oranges, hay, light pine. Orange and herb flavor, decent hops, some caramel. Clean and crisp. Not great but decent.
