Bottle with a great Pizza in Modica, Sicily. Light haze on this amber beer, big pale cream coloured head. Palate starts crisp but turns softer. Sweetish creamy malts. Small spicy note. Trace of orange hops. Not bad - clean and drinkable but could do with some more oooomph for the style.

Bottle with a great Pizza in Modica, Sicily. Very hazy gold beer, large pale cream coloured head. Palate is light and a little crisp. Fresh pale malts, slightly creamy. Reasonable hops - marmalade orange and a dash of tangerine. Minerals. Finishes crisp with a little hop bitterness. Enjoyed this, fresh, tasty, clean and well balanced.

Bottle from the ’Botega’ shop next to St Peters, Modica, Sicily. This bottle a good bit stronger than the website description - 5.6%. Cloudy gold beer, small white head. Palate is crispy. light and semi dry. Good carbonation. A little creamy malt with that nice fresh nutty tone you would expect. Nicely balanced tangy orange and dried fruits. Finishes sry and crisp with a little yeast. Decent, very fresh tasting and very drinkable.

Bottle from the ’Botega’ shop next to St Peters, Modica, Sicily. Opaque black brown beer. Small tan head. Palate is quite light and a little crispy. Tangy dark malt, no bitterness but a hint of roast. The Carob provides a pronounced unsweet chocolate backdrop. Riding alongside is a nice a fruity vibe. Finishes semi dry with a dark malt tang and unsweet chocolate aftertaste. Nicely put together - it’s dark and quite rich but easy drinking.

Bottle from the ’Botega’ shop next to St Peters, Modica, Sicily. Very hazy amber beer, big pale cream coloured head. The palate is crisp and fairly dry. Dry but creamy malt base supports mild citric hops. Minerals. Finishes creamy and dry. Slightly frustrating - finally some hops but there just isn’t enough of them. Drinkable though.
