[Cask at the Back of Beyond (JDW), Reading.] A hazy pale amber pour with a thin white head; orangey aroma; rather thin in the mouth, but with a crisp citrus taste and a bready body; then a little pithy bitterness to finish. Pleasant.

440ml can from Left Field Beer and shared in Kuala Lumpur. Poured a mostly clear dark brown colour with a mostly lasting frothy off-white head. The aroma is roasty, light dry ashtray. The flavour is moderate liquorice bitter, light sweet, with a smooth, somewhat light, roasty, caramel, earthy, liquorice bitter palate. Medium bodied with average carbonation. A solid Porter.

Cask at Mad Squirrel HWY, 02/04/2025.
Ketchup rate times 2 ... missed it when originally released last year ... walked into MS HWY last Friday and ignored it. Only when I was home that evening and filtered MS beers new to old did I realise I needed it. Swung by 5 days later hoping it would still be on but also fearing it may be a bit bollocksed if so ... and here we are ... ain't no Terry manning this cellar!
Almost clear golden amber with a good sized lasting white head.
Nose is soured citric tones, straw, pale malts, lemon rind, herb.
Taste comprises pale malts, straw, herb, lemon rind, grains, faint vinegar strokes.
Medium bodied, soft carbonation, semi drying close with modest hop bitterness.
Not shot through entirely but I wouldn't be serving this if I had a clue how to run a bar!
