Gravicask, half pint, at Reading Beer Festival. Clear brown coloured body with a few patches on the surface. Aroma of toasted bread. Rather nice taste of integrated dark malts and hops. Rounded palate (shared with Finn, 02.05.2008).

Half pint from gravity dispense at Reading Beer Festival. Hazy straw body under a filmy layer. Spicy aroma with hints of red apples. Sweet taste with wheat and late banana. Too sweet and sticky mouthfeel (shared with Finn, 02.05.2008).

Cask gravity at Reading BF 08. Cloudy pale gold, lasting white head. Lemon squash aroma. Bit of soap maybe. Aroma is a bit like a wit, bit spicier maybe, even maltier in the mouth. Actually very tasty and I rather liked it, bit of lemon curd. More hoppy than I expected too.

Cask gravity at Reading BF 2008. Amber chestnut colour with beige head. Buttery nutty aroma. Good depth in mouthfeel, some malty fruit and caramel. Toffee. Hint of sour, but overall interesting.

Sampled with Finn at Reading Beer Festival. See-through mahogany gown. Neither head nor lacing. Dark malty aroma with hoppy notes. Well bodied Pale Ale with a rounded taste of sweet, caramel malts offset by bitter dark fruits (gravicask 02.05.2008).

[on tap at ZeroDegrees Reading] Very yeasty at first, with malt and sharpness coming through later. Quite sweet, but leaves a distinct metallic aftertaste.

[On tap at ZeroDegrees Reading] 13/5/2008: Chocolate, fading into fruitiness. More like a dark ale than a black lager. Little bitterness in aftertaste, quite pleasant, but not particularly memorable. Probably the best of the ZeroDegrees range. Re-rate 22/10/2008: Better than I remember; nice and smokey, with hints of coffee as well as the aforementioned chocolate. Definitely the best of the Zerodegrees range so far. Have increased ratings accordingly.

On tap at the Bristol branch of Zerodegrees. Orange coloured with a decent off-white head. Aroma of grapefruit and floral hops. Flavour of apricots and citrus hops with a slightly bitter finish. Ok.
