On tap at Zerodegrees, Blackheath. Like the waiter I was talking to said, it’s like the wheat beer, but with sweeter mango. Bang on. Bit nasty though soapy and a tad artificial.

On tap at Zerodegrees, Blackheath. Very choccy dunkel. Hazy, dark brown/red with thin dark beige head. The chocolate is alright, smooth, not powdery. If you really push me, I guess there are some dark fruits. Out of this or the pale ale I’d take the pale ale. But then I like hops. Very drinkable. Just leaves me a bit cold. Lacks character but does grow on you.

On tap at Zerodegrees, Blackheath. Clear orange/copper, thin beige head. "C" hop aroma. Resiny grapefruit, morphs into earthy grapefruit. Malts are a little biscuity and buttery. Hops on end tend to fade a bit. Could be bolder. Not a bad sub Sierra Nevada Pale Ale version though. Nice to see this style in the UK.

On tap at Zerodegrees, Blackheath. If I wanted a lemon in my beer I’d ask for it! So after fishing out the slice, this is a hazy pale gold colour with thin white head. Estery banana aroma. Lacks a bit of body/cereal in mouth. Wheaty flavour kicks in towards the end. Bit of bubblegum. Lacks body. Estery bits are ok. Mind you I had kippers for breakfast and they still dominate my palate.

On tap at Zerodegrees, Blackheath. Pale gold with disappearing white head. Fresh aroma, light and pleasing in mouth. Decent lemony citrus finish, could do with a bit more bite maybe. Very easy drinking

Draft at the Greenwich location, July 2006. An unclear and very dark brown beer with a red shine under a thick brown head. The aroma is sweet malty with light roasted notes. The flavor is sweet malty with light notes of roasted malt and caramel, leading to a dry roasted end.

Draft at the Greenwich location, July 2006. A hazy dark orange beer with a dense orange head. The aroma is sweet citrusy. The flavor is sweet malty with light notes of caramel, leading to a bitter end with some notes of oranges. The flavor is quite light taking into account that they call it an American Pale Ale.

Appearance - 4 | Aroma - 5 | Flavor - 4 | Texture - 4 | Overall - 4.5

Draft at the Greenwich location, July 2006. An unclear light orange beer with a thin white head. The aroma is very light, what is there is sweet wheaty with a fruity touch amongst those bananas. The flavor is also quite light with sweet wheaty notes, leading to a dry wheaty end. The body is thin, and all in all it is boring.

Draft at the brewpub in Greenwich, July 2006. A hazy yellow beer with a thin white head - I don’t like hazy pilseners - call them Kellerbiers instead. The aroma is very lightly malty, while the flavor is sweet malty with a strong flowery hop note, is it East Kent Goldings? leading to a OK bitter end.

Draft at the brewpub in London, July 2006. An unclear light yellow beer with a thin white head. The aroma is sweet malty with notes of wheat and fruit. The flavor is very sweet with strong notes of mango, as well as some notes of wheat. The sweetness and a very high level of carbonation reminds me of a sodapop.
