Bottle from La Cave à Bulles. Gushed a trifle. Pours black with a slight tan head. Aromas of anise and smoke. Thinnish body with mild carbonation. Flavor is really toasted malt with notes of chocolate and anise. Strange, but it drinks pretty well.

Black color, huge head initially, then reducing to a thin layer. Delicate aroma of roasted malt and chocolate, very light liquorice too. It has a good body structure, with good chocolate flavor, light roasted malt, subdued sweetness. Correct bitterness. Very well balanced. One very good from France.

It has a light amber (or deep golden) color, with a nice creamy head. The aroma is malty, with very light yeast and hops; the flavor is quite malty too, with some caramel, round, very smooth, with low bitterness; both aroma and flavor have a very light touch of vegetables (which is a flaw). Overall simple, but a positive beer.

Hazy amber with microscopic yeast particles, quickly collapsing head. Candyish and light lemony aroma. Minerally malt base, not overly full or chewy, moderately fruity yeast strain, lemons candy again, slightly metallic finish. Sparkly mouthfeel.
