26/7/2024. From BIAB at The Redoubt Beer Festival 2024, Harwich. Pours clear golden orange with a small bubbly off-white head. Aroma is funky, apple, caramel, barnyard straw. Moderate sweetness and bitterness with light tartness. Medium body, soft carbonation. Nice.

Sample courtesy of Grumbo, cheers Graham! Golden colour, some bubbles on top and aroma of apple, horseblanket, citric, solventy funk. Taste is sweet, apple, wood barrel, some tartness, citric, with horsey funk, vanilla hint, mellow acidity and tannin. Medium bodied, low carbonation, medium-sweet tannic finish. Nicely drinkable.

25/8/2022. From BIAB at the 43rd Peterborough Beer Festival. Pours clear dark golden with minimal bubbly head. Aroma is musty apple, woody, funky, straw, horse blanket, solvent. Medium plus sweetness, light bitterness and tartness. Medium body, oily, soft to flat carbonation. Sweet tangy finish. Enjoyed this.

Cask @ Fleetwood Beer and Cider Festival. Clear yellow without head. Aroma is sweet apples, red apples and fruity. Flavor is quite sweet. Dry finish. 090219

9/2/2019. Cask at the 37th Fleetwood Beer & Cider Festival. Pours clear bright gold with minimal head. Aroma of sour apples and wood. Light sweetness, medium sour. Moderate body, slight oily texture, flat carbonation. Water, sweet and tart to finish.

Cask @ Fleetwood Beer & Cider Festival. No head. Color is golden. Aroma and taste are rich green apples, fruits, little sulphur, little acidity and has a nice dry finish.

750ml bottle from Tuckers Maltings. Deep orange golden colour, no head and aroma of sour apple, apple skins, woody oak, barnyard. Taste is sweetish mellow fruity apple, some tartness, hay, woody, leather, straw, earthy, barnyard notes, with drying tannins. Oily mouthfeel, medium bodied, low carbonation, dry tannic finish. Quite OK.

750ml bottle. Orange gold colour, no head and aroma of woody apple, barnyard, vinegar notes. Taste is sweetish apple, oak, barnyard, solventy and some woody tannins. Oily mouthfeel, medium bodied, low carbonation, drying lightly tannic sourish finish. OK.

Taste is tart apple, drying tannins, slight barnyard, with woody, oaky notes, bittersweet. Slightly oily mouthfeel, medium bodied, low to medium carbonation, sour dry tannic finish. Quite OK.

Bottle 750ml. corked.Clear medium orange yellow colour with virtually no head. Aroma is moderate apple, barnyard, horse blanket, sweet apples, dry apple. Flavour is moderate sweet and light acidic with a average to long duration, apple, wood, light vinegar. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is flat. [20120807]
