Description
The more than 725-year-old beer tradition in Litovel dates back to 1291, when King Wenceslas II granted the city the mile right. This privilege allowed only the Litovel burghers to brew and tap beer within a radius of one medieval mile, i.e. in a vicinity of approximately seven kilometres. In the Middle Ages, beer was brewed in a brewing house, which was then located at Litovel 57. Those with brewing rights were among the most affluent people, and played a significant role in managing the city. Even contemporary Litovel beer is brewed using classic processes, the roots of which date back to this glorious historical era.

0.5 bottle. :)

Brownish red color, medium cream-colored head. Caramel malt aroma, average intensity. Light body, medium carbonation. Easy-to-drink light brown lager. The roasted caramel aftertaste is delicious, and even bitter. I recommend it, available at a good price. Slightly cola-like flavor. :)

Tap at UVV. Hazy amber-orange-golden body, off white head. Dried fruit and dust dominate the malty aroma. Huh, raisins dominate the lean taste, ending fresh but dry. Interesting take at the style that I don't really like but which isn't that terrible and cannot be hated.

Dullish gold, but without any head. Big saaz aroma with a lot of pale malt as well. Definitely classic Czech. Moderate bitterness, and excellent balance with a lot of pale malt and earthy, slightly sulphury Czech hops. Solid.
