Description
The more than 725-year-old beer tradition in Litovel dates back to 1291, when King Wenceslas II granted the city the mile right. This privilege allowed only the Litovel burghers to brew and tap beer within a radius of one medieval mile, i.e. in a vicinity of approximately seven kilometres. In the Middle Ages, beer was brewed in a brewing house, which was then located at Litovel 57. Those with brewing rights were among the most affluent people, and played a significant role in managing the city. Even contemporary Litovel beer is brewed using classic processes, the roots of which date back to this glorious historical era.

Slodki w opor, na tym chyba ta premiumowosc polega? Do tego zboze, tez takie wilgotne, i o dziwo ziolowy posmak. Ten posmak nawet mily, ale calosc mocno slaba. Za to zwilza usto przedobiadowo

Golden colour, clear, frothy head that does not stay long. Aroma is malt drink, grain, some grassy hops. Light but long bitterness. Acceptable.

(Bottle) Golden colour with frothy, white head. Malty nose with bread, honey, hay, a touch of citrus and herbal hops. Malty taste with notes of bread, honey, citrus, grass, hay and a mild herbal bitterness in the finish. Medium body, dry. Nothing exceptional, but a decent and well balanced výcepní. Quite enjoyable.

# 355; 7/2016. Nepříliš povedený český ležák. Nedobrá, drsná hořkokost lehce zakrývá karamelovou sladkost přecházející v nepříjemné zkažené tóny v chuti i vůni.

Bottle. Pours nearly clear dark ruby brown with airy tan head. Clear aroma of malt and caramel, with touches of nuts and yeast. Sweetish flavour of caramel malt with notes of nuts and yeast, with touches of hops. Bittersweet aftertaste of hops, mcaramel and yeast. A decent beer for the style, although there is a clear touch of macro to it.
