Tap at the Berkeley venue. Pours very dark brn/blk (cola?) with a creamy tan head. Med + body or better. Flavor is smooth burnt/toasted malt with a solid dose of espresso. Not spectacular, but very solid espresso brew. Finishes quite earthy, not to mention espresso.

Tap at the Berkeley venue. Pours dark brown with a slight beige head. Aroma is very roasty darkish malt. Med + body. Flavor is moderately dark malty, earthy, surprisingly dry. It’’s malty, but not very sweet at all. Not really bitter either. It’s a good drink.

Bottle from Homeplus  in Seoul. Served in a weizen glass. A nice golden cloudy wheat pour with a thick light beige head. The nose is yeasty bready graham. The taste is bready sweet yeasty banana. The body is med-light but it has a bready honey quality to it. The taste is sweet honey graham with a light fruitiness. Average.

12 ounce bottle into pint glass, best before 11/26/2014. Pours hazy bright orange color with a 2 finger dense and rocky off white head with great retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lingers. Nice spotty soapy lacing clings down the glass, with a moderate amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of big apricot, peach, lemon, orange, pear, apple, light banana, wheat, honey, bread, and yeast earthiness. Very nice aromas with good balance of apricot, fruity yeast, and bready malt notes; with good strength. Taste of apricot, peach, lemon, orange, pear, apple, light banana, wheat, honey, bread, light herbal, and yeast earthiness. Minimal herbal bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of apricot, peach, lemon, orange, pear, apple, light banana, wheat, honey, bread, and yeast earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Very nice robustness and balance of apricot, fruity yeast, and bready malt flavors; with a great malt/fruit flavor balance and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Very authentic tasting fruit flavors as well. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth and moderately creamy/bready mouthfeel that is great. Alcohol is very well hidden with minimal warming present after the finish as expected of 5.1%. Overall this is a damn nice fruited wheat ale. All around great robustness and balance of apricot, fruity yeast, and bready malt flavors; and very smooth to drink. A very enjoyable offering.

Draft pour, and bottle poured probably a couple dozen times over the years. Can’t believe I haven’t rated this. Pours a copper color with a foamy head. Hoppy grainy aroma. Flavor is bitter, with some sweet hops mixed in. Finishes on another more bitter note. Always been a bit of a go to imperial for me. What can I say. It’s cheap, strong, and tasty. I’ll keep getting this.

Tap. Pours hazy deep reddish chestnut, small beige head, sine lacing. Aroma is super light, a bit of roasty and dark bread. Flavor is medium sweet, light plus bitter, roasty, dark bread, a bit nutty, kind of acidic, faintly smoky. Lightish body. Not bad.
