Draught at 575, 10/31/15.
Glassy drab brass-to-light-amber liquid shows light carbonation creating an off-white head that is flimsy and completely dissipating.
Probably on account of the lower carbonation, the beer is a little bit reserved in the nose. Certainly some tropical fruit notes in the form of light pineapple and mango, but as well, a fair amount of both orange and caramel, which I’m less excited about. Clean, though, without any heavy pine or alcohol noted.
Rather caramel-like, some biscuity malts, a touch of iced tea flavor and very orange heavy, with light mango/guava-like notes coming on the tail end and only lingering lightly. Low carbonation and not a syrupy texture or under-attenuated by any means, but just rather "thick", for lack of a better term. I don’t know if this was a really old keg, but it seems very malt heavy here, with the hops as more of an afterthought. Bitterness is moderate, not problematic ever and there’s not enough of the nelson sauvin to go around.
Will be in Phoenix quite a bit in the coming months, so will be sure to give it another try.

Poured up on tap at Craft 64 where it exhibits a clear copper body that supports a thin light tan head. The mild aroma offers up malt blunted hops that seem floral and citrus and a bit earthy pine like. The taste delivers malt sweetness, an interesting blend of cantaloupe and cucumber and then more malts that take the sting out of the hoppiness that’s trying to happen here. The malts try to grow into a caramel like sensation but luckily never really make it. This just doesn’t come together as the flavors seem to try and take this in different directions.
