Cask at Copenhagen Beerfestival. It’s a flat, dark brown beer almost without head. Burnt and roasted nose with dried fruits. Roasted and burnt flavor too, quite coffee-ish, with some notes of dms. Flat, medium full, dry mouthfeel. The finish is bitter of the roasted kind. I might not sound very enthusiastic about this one, but it was actually quite nice. (090517)

Black with a small off-white head. Fruity and slightly roasted aroma. Sweet and fruity flavour with mellow roasted character.

On tap. Black and opaque with a dense beige head. Hard roasted malt aroma with some coffee. Rather light and a little watery body, hard roasted malt and a little coffee. Subdued bitterness. 160509

100ml draught at CBF 09. Tan coloured head. Near-black body. Sweet to the nose with lightly roasted malts. Coffee, chocolate and liquorice can be detected in the flavour. Soft and dry on the swallow. Medium bodied stout. Enjoyable (17.05.2009).

Gravicask at Københavnske Øldage 09. Hazy amber. Naked surface. Prominent hoppy aroma. Hop resin, sweet apples and hints of caramel malts in the flavour. Nice bitter tail. Well bodied and pleasant in the mouth. Accepted interpretation of the style (15.05.2009).

Gravicask, shared with Skinnyviking at the Copenhagen Beer Festival 09. Devil black body. Fragile bubbles on the top. Pleasant to the nose with mild hints of liquorice. Flavoured with sweet dark malts and a touch of cocoa. Slightly roasted. Rather vapid on the palate. Needs more body (15.05.2009).

Draught at KØ09. Good roasted aroma. Dark brown colour, quite cloudy. Big stable light brown head. The flavour is nice and sweet, some sweet liquorice. Mild roasted aftertaste, low bitterness. 7 3 7 3 15

Draft. A hazy amber beer with a thin orangey head. The aroma is sweet malty with hints of butter. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt, straw, and caramel, leading to a dry bitter and hoppy finish.

Sample at CPH beerfestival. Medium head with nice duration. Color is black. Aroma and taste are roast malt, coffee, licorice and chocolate.
