Pint on tap at 't Piepenhoes patio, Maastricht. It pours clear, pale golden with a thick, long-lasting white head. Aroma is rather low: just hints of lemon, bread and iron fillings. Taste is watery, fizzy, slightly metallic. Low-lingering finish with just a touch of bitterness.

On tap at Sir Alex, Maastricht. Pours clean ocher to ruby with a thick, long-lasting, bone-colored head. Aroma is porridge, breakfast cereal, strawberry gum, even some bread dipped in red wine. Low carb. Taste is boozy (very) and quite warm; slightly sweetish and not bitter at all. Alcohol-ladden, strawberry-flavored finish. So-so bock.
