Bottle at a friends tasting. From notes. Grapefruit and citrus with a decent caramel malt backbone. Kickass.

Bottle shared at Amarin. Pours dark reddish brown. Nose and taste of pancake syrup, pancake batter, coffee beans, green pepper (likely a "flaw" from the coffee, but seriously this is so awesome I don’t care), Cuban highly concentrated coffee and milk chocolate. Thick mouthfeel. Tongue coating.

22 oz. bottle, sent from mista (thanks a lot, Geoff), pours black with a small brown head. Aroma brings out dates, roasted malt, licorice, and treacle toffee. Flavour brings out loads of complex dark fruits - dates, figs -, treacle toffee, caramel syrupy, and molasses. Extremely viscous mouthfeel, with the dark fruits and syrupy dominating the flavour profile. Wow - this is complex. I don't really get much coffee and whiskey barrels at all. Exceedingly rich and deep. Not the easiest to drink due to the viscous, syrupy nature of this. Still, wonderful stuff.

Bottle. Pours deep opaque black with a medium deep brown head that slowly dissipates leaving good lacing. Aroma is incredibly rich bourbon, molasses, chocolate, maybe even dried cherry. Flavor is otherworldly. Quite sweet with noticeable bourbon. A ton of chocolate and dried fruit, maple. Light bitterness at the end. No astringence. Full body, ultra creamy mouthfeel. This is the real shit! At this level of sweetness its really a dessert beer, but oh what a dessert beer. The only real points docked are due to the sweetness which becomes a bit cloying after a while.

Bottle. Big thanks to Hopscotch for sharing this gem. Dark brown pour with a light brown head. Incredible caramel and chocolate aromas. Great lacing. Sweet with some cola like qualities. Caramel, chocolate, and woody notes with a fair amount of heat from the rye in the finish. Very good mouthfeel and body.

Delicious caramel, maple, dark chocolate, bourbon, dark roasted malts, and oaky notes. In my opinion the best of te three. I couldn’t think of a better beer for rating number 1400.

22 oz. bottle, sent from mista (thanks a lot, Geoff), pours a cloudy pale golden with a small white head. Aroma is very hoppy, full of aromatic floral hops, prominent pine and just enough biscuity malt to back. Flavour brings out dry piney hops, floral notes, a little grass and biscuity malt. Very piney above anything and extremely flavourful for a pale ale, though not quite on an IPA level. Extremely well-balanced and highly drinkable - could drink litres of this. Excellent stuff.
