Stupenduously high, dense, white head over very pale lime-yellow beer. End of bottle fully opaque. Slightly spicey (coriander), perfumed, orange blossom and vanillaed dough. Very dry-citrussy, near tart taste. Slightly yoghurt-like, lactic notes. Actually, this is Berliner Weisse-like! No traces of coriander flavour. Despite the marked dryness, quite some refreshing qualities. Very slight acidburn. The representant was loathe to sell me this beer - because he didn’t like it himself!! For once that I LIKE a witbier, for Chrissakes! Perfect marriage between Berliner and witbier.

Fully hazy dark-amber to brown, with a small head, leaving lace. Gingerbread nose, bit smoked and lots of dark, but sweet malts, touch of licorice. Soft sweet, with a good lot of woodiness. Licorice flavour, especially retronasal, some yeasty esters. Finish is pure licorice. Medium to well-bodied, alcohol remains mainly hidden. Nowhere bad, but there’s no real uplifting item. The licorice flavour is too omnipresent in the taste (not really used as spice in here, it seems).

Draught Good amberish head, dense, slightly irregular; amber beer, fully hazy, well carbonated. Parsley, caramel, smoked ham (not like in a Rauch, mind you), roasted malts nose. Caramel, toasted, coloured malts, toffee, shortbread, malt syrup, but thankfully not too sweet. Slight burning, very well carbonated if a bit syrupy. Nice, if somewhat classical amber beer - and this time perfectly poured.

Draught Fully hazy with some UFO’s, nearly not head, but a white rim. Very badly poured (unwashed glass, too cold). Citrus, slight (pale) malt, faint yeast esters. Again citrus, lemonbalm, warm malt. Retronasal definitely mint/ "cool-aid". Warming up, more citrus (orange) notes. Very refreshing, but ending quite empty, the serving temperature does not help at all. Nice blonde, but very, very "meek".

An unclear amber beer with an off-white head. The aroma is sweet malty combined with spices, while the flavor is sweet malty combined with notes of straw.

Bottle. Blackish brown beer with a strong head. The aroma is dark fruits and quite vineous and the flavour is very vineous and christmas pudding dark fruits. Overall quite warming on the palate, but also quite watery with its strong flavours.

Bottled (BB 02/2008)
Dark nut brown, small tanned head. Aromatic nose of roasted malts and flowery hops. Medium-bodied, carbonated. Starts hoppy then turns chocolaty. Roasted aftertaste. One of the best French I’ve had.

Bottled. Hazy creamy orange coloured beer with a light head, the aroma is fermented Belgian beer like with a fruity mulled nature. The flavour is quite strongly bitter and fruity, and overall refreshing. Overall a reasonable strong beer.
