Within the first year of brewing, the Dunkel Lager attained a Silver Medal in the European-Style Dark/Munchner Dunkel category at the 2002 Great American Beer Festival. This was followed up in 2003 with another Silver Medal this time in the Bock Beer-Style category for Blonde Bock. We returned to the GABF in 2008 & brought home another Silver Medal in the Scottish-Style Ale category for our Rustic Red! Talk about fresh...you can enjoy any (or all!) of our brews & sodas at any of the 3 full service bars located in Moosejaw Pizza. We also have 1/2 gallon growlers, 12oz. bottles & 16oz. cans to go!

On tap at the brewpub. Pours a clear gold with a white head that lasts throughout the beer. Aroma has a good amount of earthy bread and earthy German hops. Flavor is similar with earthy grain and bread up front with earthy musty German hops coming out in the finish.

On tap at the brewpub. Pours a clear deep gold with a white head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has a good amount of bitter lemon with a sweet wheat note and a hint of light fruit. Flavor begins with light sweet wheat but is taken over by a bitter lemon note that is a bit overpowering.

Bottle 35,5 cl. Courtesy of Pinball. Pours black with a vague tint of orange and a dense beige head. Sweet chocolatey and licoricey roast aroma. Medium body, a rich roastiness, again quite some dark bitter chocolate with a whiff of salt. No real bitterness. 230512

Draft at OF. Thin, pale hazy yellow tan. Thin oily head. Wow, some weird stuff. Apparently thay thought lemon grass could overcome a schwaggy beer. This is hat you call a shitty WI microbrew. Thin yet still sugary, with a unnatural spicy lemon kick. Sub par nonsense.

Draft at OF. Glowing amber-brown-black with a thin, oily head. Watery, barely carbonated body. Rich brown sugar and chocolate tones. A little overly sugary and almost malt extractalicious. Still relatively enjoyable, probably would be better if there was better carbonation. Not bad, not good.
