Bottled. An unclear dark amber beer with a thin beige head. The aroma has notes of alcohol, vanilla, wood, over ripe fruits, and prunes. The flavor is sweet with notes of whisky, caramel, over ripe fruits, alcohol, and vanilla, leading to a dry alcoholic finish.

22 fl oz bottle. Pours hazy orage to brown with a small tan head. Aroma is dense malty and overripe fruity. Thick malty, overripe fruity and ligering dárk malty to caramelish.msweet and light note of overripe sweet fruitiness. Smooth malty finish.

Tasting at Papsø’s
Hazy dark amber color with almost no head. The aroma is sweet and nutty, maybe a bit buttery. Very sweet flavor, almost like a Thomas Hardy, with good malt and toffee flavor; there is an interesting pineapple freshness; in the final, some sweet nuts, alcohol, caramel; correct bitterness.
Very good, 70% classic British, 30% zesty American.

Bottle 65 cl. Courtesy of Doodler. Pours a cloudy amber with a tiny off-white head. Thick caramelish aroma, some overripe fruit - slightly oxidized. Rich body, lowish carbonation, a little manure(!), sweet vanillaish but not overly woody or Bourbonish. Has a salty character. Lovely. 160612

Cask @ brewery. Dark orange appearance with an off white head. Light toffee, cracker, toast, and earth in the nose. Lower carbonation. Caramel, toffee, light pear fruity, slight earthy flavor. Ok.

Tap @ brewery. Golden orange appearance that’s a bit hazy with an off white head. The hibiscus is fairly strong in the nose along with notes of spice, honey, lemon, and orange. Again in the flavor, the hibiscus leads with a big floral element and lighter notes of citrus fruits, wheat, and spice. Some white pepper on the finish. Carbonation was a bit low.

Tap @ brewery. Amber appearance with a tan head. Somewhat toasty, caramel, toffee, mild grassy/earthy hoppy aroma. Sweet toffee forward, sort of reminiscent of an English bitter, with a higher hop content though it’s still pretty tame by American standards. Cracker, toast, earth notes.

Tap @ brewery. Amber/orange appearance with an off white head. Nice, grapefruit, light skunk hop forward aroma. Lightly spicy, a bit toasty, grapefruit, piney hoppy flavor. My second favorite during my second stop at PC.

Tap @ brewery. Orange appearance with an off white head. A bit toasty malty, light caramel, somewhat citrusy, orange, light grapefruit,, a bit piney aroma. Somewhat fruity (orange/grapefruit), piney, lightly spicy hoppy flavor. Pretty good.
