Maybe the worst of the 24 Triple IPAs I tried at Brouwer’ s Hop Mib event. Lots go vegetal character, thick and not clean, hops muddled.

On tap at Brouwer's Cafe, pours a hazy golden orange with a small white head. Aroma brings out candied fruits, caramel sweetness, and resinous hops underneath. Flavour is bizarre, with a strange mix of flavours, including candied fruits, herbal notes, and BO. Something not quite cohesive here, though it's certainly not a disaster. Weird. Not bad, but not good.

Draft - Sweet pine, orange and booze. Clear orange copper with a decent white head. Sweet Mandarin, and odd boozy off note and a bitter sweet finish. There is something not right here,

On tap at Uber Tavern, pours a clear / hazy golden orange with a medium white head. Aroma brings out piney hops, along with vegetal and skunky herbal hops. Flavour reveals notes of skunky vegetal herbal hops, some pine, and some modest residual sugar. Very nicely balanced, with load of hops. Very nice stuff.

Bottle - Some herbal hop notes, dark roast and cocoa. Jet black with a rich brown. Earthy herbal hops and dark chocolate. Interesting and the hops are aggressive.

Draught at Brews Almighty, Everett, 4.8% ABV
Hazy amber color with compact head. Hoppy aroma, not extremely strong, with a light animal side. Good body strength, more than expected; the toffee malt is mostly evident, yet overwhelmed by the strong hopping; the flavor is caramelly, but also with plenty of resiny hops.
Good, but not elegant.

Bottle from Elizabeth St., Bellingham; there is a "best after" date but it can’t be read
Dark brown color, near black, with small head. Nice aroma, roasted malt, some chocolate, some tar, light coffee. Good body strength; strong flavor of roasted malt, with dark caramel, some coffee and pungent hop resins; strong bitterness too.
Imperial Stout by the book, very good.

Bottle from Elizabeth St., Bellingham
Cloudy amber color with small head. Fruity caramel aroma, hoppy but a bit old, light sweat. Bold, full bodied, with moderately sweet malt and caramel flavor; strong bitterness, still some hop resins and fruitiness.
I would really like to try it fresh.
